Blood Libel and the Sarah Palin Haters

“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” Martin Luther King, Jr. quote"

Every time that I think this is as low as it can go. And it can not get any more stupid or more ridiculous than this. The Sarah Palin haters always prove me wrong. Some times   I get upset. Trying to talk to the Sarah Palin haters is like talking to a wall. Some times it makes me sad. Some of them are good people and just don't know better. Sarah Palin used he term "Blood Libel".  And that's it.  I  have no idea what is the point , the Sarah Palin haters are trying to make. Did Palin use bad grammar? Did she use the phrase incorrectly? Is she supposed to be a Jew hater now? The Sarah Palin haters have taken this to a whole new level of stupidity. You say tomato, I say tomahto.

Some Jewish groups say Palin  did not use the phrase correctly . And some Jewish groups say she was right in her use of "Blood Libel".  So what? I guess you could talk two words out of a 7 or 8 minute speech. And nitpick until the cows come home. Good luck with that. What every rocks your boat. Six people are dead, and they want to play games now? With their childish jokes and cartoons. Not a real good way to honor those shot and killed.  I guess they are trying to say Sarah Palin is insensitive to the Jewish community. If that is the point they are trying to make. They will not get far with it. In the past Sarah Palin has been attacked for showing to much love for Israel.  From the Israel flag in her office, to the American and Israel flag she often wears.  In fact many top people in the Israel government have said they hope Sarah Palin will be the next President. And many polls in Israel have shown that the people of Israel, hope that she is the next President of the United States.

I always try to keep an open mind. So I have to say Sarah Palin might have made a mistake in using "Blood Libel".  Instead of saying,"Journalists and pundits should not manufacture a "blood libel " that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence that they purport to condemn," .She could have replaced "blood libel " with something else. She could have used, lie, hoax, fraud, load of crap, or many other words.

I do not want to wast my time nitpicking over words. I will leave that to other people. I want to focus on the overall context of the speech. A speech she was forced to make. After being wrongly accused of having a part in the deaths of six people.  And I think the speech was great. And she was right in all the points she was trying to make. The shooter was kicked out of school because the teacher and students were afraid of him. They were afraid he might come to class one day and shoot them.  I am 100% sure if had not been kicked out of school. We would later have had another Virginia Tech massacre. So yes. I think the main point Sarah Palin made in her speech was right. You can call it "blood libel " or something else. Sarah Palin was right.

I follow about 500 people or groups on twitter. Most of tea party members or news reporters. And on the day of the shooting, gunmen and Gabrielle Giffords were trending on twitter. So I had a couple of windows open on my computer.  And I was going back and forth trying to find out news of what as happening.  And I kept hearing about the same thing from hundreds of different Tea Party members." Let's all pray for Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims." Nobody was trying to play politics with this.  But before we even knew if  Giffords or the others were alive or dead. Before we knew if this was a lone gunman or some sort of terrorist attack.  The Sarah Palin haters were rushing to try to use this for some sort of political grain. And to me that shows a special kind of sickness. So once again I have to say yes. Sarah Palin was right in everything she said in her speech.
